Meet Stacy
Stacy Knapp is an ordained minister serving her online and in-person community and committed to the work of chaplaincy: the ministry of presence. She serves in different capacities and her life mission is to be present with people in their pain, so that they experience the peace of God. In addition to serving the friends and families when a loved one (including pets) has died, she is equally passionate to serve those in life transitions like the loss of a job/job change, "empty nest," loss of a friendship and more as they grieve and experience the myriad of feelings.

What is a Grief Companion?
Stacy has completed numerous crisis care and grief trainings including Comprehensive Bereavement Skills Training from Dr. Alan Wolfelt at The Center for Loss & Life Transition. His "Companioning Model of Grief Care" has been a source of transformative care for many and deeply resonates with Stacy's approach to grief care that she calls "Grief Soul Care." Dr. Wolfelt coined the title, Grief Companion and the model of “companioning” versus “treating” people in grief.
